Overview

Planhat builds an enterprise-grade platform for commercial teams that integrates data, workflows, automation, AI and collaboration. The Senior Product Designer will raise the bar for the product experience, owning design systems and working closely with product, engineering and a creative studio. The role expects strong aesthetic taste and a hands-on approach to front-end code (not a full-time engineer, but comfortable in code).

Responsibilities

• Turn abstract capabilities — data, automations, AI, permissions — into clear, intuitive user journeys
• Design ambitious, best-in-class interfaces and create a scalable design system that redefines enterprise software UI
• Design pixel-perfect, information-dense interfaces that remain clear at scale
• Own parts of the roadmap and introduce processes that help the team ship exceptional interfaces faster

Requirements

• Strong product sense, aesthetic taste and craft
• Think in universal systems and flows rather than isolated interfaces
• Skilled at reducing interface complexity while guiding users toward intended outcomes
• Strong UI craft and attention to how interactions feel
• Comfortable working in the front-end—Vue templates and Tailwind CSS—and able to understand what you write rather than just prompting for it
• Experienced with navigating a large codebase (Planhat uses Vue in a repo with 1M+ lines of TypeScript)
• Fluent with and curious about staying hands-on with AI coding tools and inspiring others to level up their tooling

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise or data-heavy products
• Familiarity with TypeScript and large-scale codebases
